About McDonald Fellowships
The McDonald Fellowship 2024 is a fully funded research funding program designed to support low and middle-income countries to work in research institutions outside their own country to pursue a Master’s, or PhD degree program. The fellowship consists of a two-year grant, around GBP 30,000 per year, to cover travel and living costs, and an additional contribution of GBP 2,000 per year to the host institution. The fellowship provides funding for a period of one to two years to enable recipients to undertake research in a recognized institution under the mentorship of a senior investigator.
There are two types of McDonald Fellowships;
- The first type is offered in collaboration with the European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS).
- The second type is granted in partnership with ARSEP, which is a member organization of the Multiple Sclerosis International Federation (MSIF).

Eligibility Criteria
