Eligibility Criteria

Applicants need the following requirements to be eligible for the Kaist Undergraduate Scholarship.

  • Required Languages: Applicants must be experts in English Languages
  • Eligible Countries: Applicants from all over the countries are eligible for this karst undergraduate scholarship.
  • Spring 2025 (Early only): Applicant who have graduated or will graduate from high school by February 28th,2025
  • Fall 2025 (Early/Regular): Applicants who have graduated or will graduate from high school by August 31st, 2025
  • International Applicants holding Korean Citizenship (dual citizenship) are not eligible to apply for this scholarship
  • Applicants will not be eligible if the applicant’s parent is a Korean Citizen

  • Application Form
  • One Recommendation Letter:
  • Applicants need to submit only one recommendation letter from a teacher will be taken into consideration. The letter should be highly encouraged to be written by an academic advisor, homeroom teacher, or math/science teacher, and the letter should be written in English.
  • High School or University Transcript:
  • Applicants must submit an official transcript from the high school or universities attended is mandatory. Transcripts must include year-by-year records of all coursework taken during the last three years of high school.
  • Passport or National ID Copy:
  • Applicants need to submit an original copy of their international passport or National ID card, along with official documents that indicate their nationality (such as passport, national ID card, alien registration card, etc) Provide the front page of your passport that includes the passport number, date of issue, expiration date, photo, and name.
  • Statements of Financial Resources:
  • Applicants need to provide a statement of financial resources if they are not financially sponsored by the government or organization. Upload documents you deem necessary to reflect your financial status. Don’t forget to upload documents in English. If your Financial status documents are not in english then translate them into English and include them along with their original copies.
  • Official English Proficiency Test:
  • Applicants need to submit an English Proficiency test Score. Applicants should obtain a score of above TOEFL iBT 83, TTEPS (NEW) 326, IELTS 6.5, or TOEIC Listening & Reading 720. The EPT Must be taken 2 years before the deadline of the online application. Submitting an ETP report is optional, but it is highly recommended to provide at least one score if you have already obtained it.
  • Honors & Awards:
  • Applicants need to submit up to five honors or awards obtained during their high school years. A list of honors and awards will only be considered valid if testimonials or evidence are submitted along it.
  • High School Profile:
  • Applicants need to submit high school profiles, introductions, or brochures that have been published by the applicant’s high school or the Ministry of Education. Additionally, submit the School’s website, GPA Rating system, college acceptance statistics, etc.
