About Government of Ireland Scholarship 2024
Government of Ireland Scholarship 2024-2025 is a fully funded scholarship program offered by the Government of Ireland in Partnership with the Irish Higher Education Institution and managed by the Higher Education Authority. These scholarships are awarded to high-achieving students from non-European Union (EU) and non-EU countries who wish to undertake one year of full-time study in the Master’s and PhD degree programs in any field of study at eligible higher education institutions in Ireland. This scholarship program supports high-caliber international students who wish to study at the Master’s or Ph.D. level in Ireland. Each year 60 scholarships are awarded for one year of full-time study at the Master’s or PhD level.

Scholarship Benefits/ Coverage
- €10,000 stipend
- Full Fee Waiver
This scholarship provides a €10,000 stipend to the successful applicants for one year of full-time study at the Master’s or PhD level. The awardees’ host higher education institutions are required to give a full fee waiver to the awardees for the year of their scholarship. Successful scholars will be expected to commence their studies in either September or October 2024.
Eligibility Criteria
- Required Languages: Applicants must be experts in English to be eligible for the Rhodes Scholarships.
- Eligible countries: Applicants must be from Outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland/United Kingdom.
- Applicants must enroll for one year of full-time study at the Master’s or PhD level.
- Applicants are expected to have a good academic record and must the academic requirements set by the Higher education institution.
- Applicants must have excellent communication skills.
- Applicants should provide evidence of participation in extracurricular activities.
- Applicants cannot hold a scholarship from more than one Irish government scholarship scheme at the same time.
- Due to the continued aggression of Russia in Ukraine, Russian and Belarussian national are not eligible to apply
